9.3.08 Vote For The Best Of 2008
======
Hey there! Please read this whole entry before you vote, there's very important information in it.
It's an election year-and not just for President! In the last two years you guys have helped vote me into 2nd place "Best Solo/Acoustic Artist" in all of Pittsburgh (thanks!!), in the Pittsburgh City Paper "Best Of" poll. Well, the year has rolled around and it's time to vote again for your favorites in Pittsburgh!
I won't have time to 'campaign' this year, as a very dear friend of mine is dying of cancer and has only a short while to live. So if you could please take a few moments to fill in the ballot, with my name under "Best Solo Artist", I'd really appreciate it.
To vote, simply click any CP icon. There is one to the right. Keep reading, we're not done highlighting important contest rules, be sure to read the full contest rules when you do click to the CP vote page, too.
You know what's even cooler? Beyond voting for your favorite this and that, if you fill in at least 100 categories, you can enter into a contest to win a trip for two to Punta Cana or Cancun.
The minimum for just voting (not entering for the trip) is 25 categories. That isn't so much, but if you're having a hard time remembering the name of your favorite local restaurant or shoe store, don't forget that online searches for area places can be helpful in jogging your memory.
Also, from reading the site you'll see the rules and guidelines--please obey them! We don't want votes being thrown out because someone accidentally skipped over the first page and didn't examine the rules carefully. If you've got a lot of family members that want to vote, instead of all voting online (where they may throw our multiple votes from one IP address), please consider sending in paper ballots (which you can get by picking up a City Paper at your local library, among other places).
And please spread the word to all your friends and family! You don't have to be a resident of Pittsburgh (or even PA) to vote!
I'm not going to be able to stress this enough, so I'm going to go for the bold lettering here: Be sure to click "done" after you've finished the survey or your vote will not be counted.
The deadline to vote is September 30th, 2008 at Midnight. Please vote before then! I'm pretty much the Queen of Procrastination, myself, so I totally understand how things can just get away from you. But why wait for tomorrow, if you can vote today? ^_^
The results of the poll will be published in the December 10th issue. I'll let you know what happens in my January edition of 'Saigh's Snippets, so sign up to receive your copy.
Every vote really does matter-there are no super delegates in this election! Make yours count, for all your favorite places and people in your favorite city. Thanks so much everyone for your time and support!
Peace,
'Saigh

I'm very blessed to once again have made the list, coming in at 2nd place, this year in the new Best Solo Artist category!
Thank you so much, everyone! This means a lot to me, because it's from all of you to me. It shows that you support me and that you love my music, and it's a great encouragement.
My congratulations go to Brad Yoder (1st), Joy Ike (who tied with me for 2nd) and Bill Deasy (3rd).

On December 13th, the Pittsburgh City Paper released the results of their "Best of Pittsburgh" 2006 readers' poll...
I'm very blessed to have been voted Pittsburgh's 2nd Best Acoustic Artist!
If you know me personally, you know I'm not all about getting awards. But this truly means a lot to me, because this award was given to me by you-my fans. This was you telling me that I'm appreciated, that you like my music, and that you want me to keep going.
Since I can't talk to each of you in person, I want to thank my fans who voted for me. You guys are awesome, every one of you!
My congratulations go out to Brad Yoder (1st) and Emily Pinkerton (3rd).
Check out the results here: Pittsburgh City Paper.
Peace and thanks,
